Firearm Archives

Here you will find articles pertaining to various firearms found in the outside world.

Everything written here is done so with the greatest honesty and seriousness.
I am by no means a professional gunsmith and typically only have access to a single sample of any given gun.
Please do your own research and make smart decisions instead of basing any purchases off what some random dude writes on their obscure 2hu fansite.

Firearms can be extremely dangerous if the person handling them is dumb and careless. Please educate yourself on safe handling and best practices. Do not be a retard who puts a hole in ceiling when trying to clean a glock or accidently shoots someone.

Overview

With all that "serious business" bit out of the way, welcome to the Eientei firearms archive! As you can tell, I have broken character for this section of the site. All the articles I link to on this page are based on my personal IRL experiences. They include reviews of different firearms, editorial pieces, and long-term logs of how these guns hold up.

I find that last part very important, as it is easy to find glowing reviews for any firearm when it is brand new and fresh out of the box. But how do they fair after 1,000 rounds? 3,000? 10,000 and beyond? Very few people ever reach those 5-digit round counts and even fewer speak about wear, parts breakages, etc. I intend to chronicle the journeys of my favorite guns well into those high round counts!

Rimfire

Cheap, light recoiling, and super fun! What's not to love about the ever-popular rimfire handguns? Everyone should own at least ONE pistol or rifle chambered in 22LR.

Ammunition Reviews - My 22LR tier list and experiences. Good reference for what ammo tends to work and what doesn't.

Rimfire as a Practice Round - The positives and negatives of using 22LR as a practice aid. An important piece for anyone looking to get into guns and was told to start with a 22.

Ruger 10/22 - An overview of the best semi-automatic rimfire rifle action in existence. Touches on the Charger pistol and modifications.

Smith & Wesson SW22 Victory - A budget-friendly rimfire pistol that's not a piece of crap. My rimfire pistol of choice. Includes a observed wear, details on modifications, and a troubleshooting info.

Handguns

I'll be the first to admit that I suck at shooting handguns, but at the same time that's why I enjoy them. Practice makes perfect and there is always some new goal you can make up, drill to run through, or further distance to shoot. Not to mention the practical benefits! As the old ads used to say: "God created man, Samuel Colt made them even."

CZ Shadow 2 - One of the best commercially availible pistols on the market. This is the first gun I've extensively detailed from day one and will eventually cover modifications from both of the major custom shops.

Tisas 1911 - A dive into the world of 1911s and turkshit firearms. I've nitpicked this thing to hell and have detailed logs on it.
