Cooking
BBQ Pit Boys - Got my barbecue shoes on! A bunch of hillbillies cooking up some mouth watering meat! They were even parodied in Girl und Panzer!
Common Man Cocktails - The source of many of my favorite cocktail recipes. The videos are kind of a long format for something as simple as drink mixing, but with that you get tasting notes and advice on what ingredients to use.
Cooking with Dog - A talking dog host walks his human slave through making asian food. It is a very novel and funny idea, but the food recipes are legit and tasty! There is also a certain irony between the channel name and the fact that they are making asian food.
Z Cooks Consortium - You know how cooking shows are never realistic? Like they always have the ingredients pre-prepared and never worry about cleaning dishes? Well, this is the complete opposite of those cooking shows. Each video consists of a one of three hosts strapping a go-pro to their head and taking you through their lives as they cook a meal. Completely unprofessional, the videos are way too long, and they are rarely fully prepared. But I love it.
DIY / Taking shit apart
AvE - When a Canadian bumblefuck gets his hands on a milling machine, only god knows what happens. This fucking guy is out there, somewhere in america's hat, creating his own language, and he's talking apart tools and giving life lessons. He is very knowledgeable and is completely willing to video tape the shit he's doing in his shop.
bigclivedotcom - A channel about tearing down and analyzing shitty chinese electronics. For those of you with 3D printers and soldering irons, he has DIY videos about re-purposing chink shit into cool things. Big Clive also has videos on basic electronical diagnosis, tools of the trade, and experiments that will probably kill him at some point.
Doujin Stuff
Phoenix Kappashiro - My go-to Touhou doujin music channel. The person running the channel does have fun sometimes by creating little music videos. Most of the uploads are the usual doujin music video format of song + fanart picture though.
Yuunarii - Yuu has some of the best overview videos of the Touhou doujin scene on the internet. She's done videos going as broad as "what is Touhou music" and has zoomed all the way in to covering individual circles. Her videos are generally high-effort, as she draws and animates everything herself. The rest of her channel has videos covering other doujin scenes, speedpaints, and vlogs about growing up with stuff like Sonic OCs. She has amazing taste in music and I always recommend people check out her videos if they are interested in getting into Touhou music.
Firearms
C_DOES - The best ideas are often the simplest ones. C_DOES's channel is dedicated to reviewing rifle scopes and other optics. What separates him from every other video reviewer and journalist that reviews scopes? Simple; he points the camera INTO THE FUCKING SCOPE! Statements like "oh the image is perfect!" or "it's clear as glass!" are worthless. C_DOES actually lets you see how good the scope is.
CZ FanGrrl - Holy shit, a girl making gun videos that isn't a gun bunny?!? CZ FanGrrl is an competitive shooter up in Canada with about a half dozen CZ Shadow 2s. Has good videos on modifying CZ pistols and screwing with spring weights.
FortuneCookie45LC - Coming to you from the hot lead zone, it's FortuneCookie45LC! A boomer that makes reloading and shooting videos. While on the simpler side, his videos cover lots of different topics and contain advice from decades of reloading.
GunBlue490 - We are hitting levels of boomer like we've never seen before! That said, he is the best type of boomer. He is an honest-to-god knowledgeable person who is making videos to keep his experiences alive. He has videos on reloading, shooting, gun care, gunsmithing, cooking, and things to consider before purchasing a firearm.
Johnny's Reloading Bench - Another awesome reloading channel. Johnny's videos are fairly straight forward; he starts with what he wants to achieve, explains the loads he's thinking of trying, then he shoots them. He mostly loads for rifles, but has a handful of interesting handgun and shotgun videos. Recently he did a series of working up hunting loads, going out to kill an animal, preparing it, and cooking it up.
Paul Harrell - He's less of a "Youtuber" and more of a real firearms instructor.
Paul's videos are lengthy, but extremely thorough.
He covers everything from gun and ammo reviews to practical self defense and shooting drills.
I highly recommend watching his videos if you are new to firearms.
In a sad turn of events, Paul has become extremely ill. My deepest sympathies extend to him and his family.
The Gun Bench - Great handgun teardowns. While not being the absolute best in terms of camera quality or narration, I think this guy does a good job showing how to completely strip down and reassemble the pistols he has. He uses normal tools and does a good job on pointing out tricky to see details to the camera.
Military History
Arsenalen, Sveriges försvarsfordonsmuseum - A tank museum located in Sweden. Stefan Karlsson is a great presenter and loves telling stories about the vehicles he served in and around during his time in the service. The museum has a very interesting collection of vehicles.
C&Rsenal - Long-form videos almost entirely based on individual firearms used in World War 1. Othais and Mae do an extreme amount of research on each firearm and do their best to track down period correct examples of them for every single video. I am hopeful that someone day they will finish covering literally every single gun used in WW1 and move onto WW2 firearms. It would be amazing to see those covered in this much detail.
Forgotten Weapons - Gun Jesus presents strange guns. Ian travels the globe looking to find museums with weird and rare guns to do videos on. Really great if something like C&Rsenal is too long-winded for you!
The Tank Museum - Probably the largest collection of armored fighting vehicles in the world. Located in the UK with a collection that started with British intelligence gathering back during the second world war and created by an absolute madman. The presenters are all fairly good with the exception of David Fletcher, who seems like a regular old British man but is really a tank god. Since Fletcher's retirement, they started redoing some of the older videos using smaller cameras so you can see inside the tanks more.
Technology
Druaga1 - Long-form, mostly retro, computer videos done by a pothead that isn't some IT genius or spewing buzzwords at you the whole time. Druaga is just a badass when it comes to getting old computers to run obscure things. He also loves shoving cheap SSDs in old systems just to see what happens.
Level1Techs - Some of the most humble and awesome people in the IT industry. Their news/links-with-friends video-podcast-things are great for both active viewing, listening in the car, or just background noise.
Our Own Devices - A hyper binge-worthy channel covering different technological advances. Most videos start off with something from the "Cabinet of Curiosities" and spiral off into the history of that item, the people behind it, and the science of how it works. Devoid of any political bullshit and unapologetically objective, this channel is a breath of freshair in today's retardedly over "correct" society.
Video Gaming
CGRundertow - A long dead video game review channel, but that kinda makes it retro. Short, fun videos on all the dogshit shovelware games I remember seeing as a kid and still kind of enjoy playing.
Food4Dogs - I don't know why the channel is called Food4Dogs, but it is. It's about a grandmother that plays video games and really enjoys them. The reason why she is here is because she is an based OG Vita enjoyer, Disgaea lover, and a genuinely nice old lady.
MandaloreGaming - Long format, in-depth video game reviews that mostly cover older classics. Mandalore really likes to cover both in and out of game lore, setting his videos apart from virtually all other reviews.
SsethTzeentach - This guy has to be on some sort of drugs because his videos are insane. Covering both modern indie games and old childhood classics, Sseth is all over the spectrum. He's sponsored by many different long-nose merchant individuals and corporations who have no idea who they are buying ad time from. Is also canonically the father of Mandalore's child.
Vargskelethor Joel - Vad fan säger den här svenska mannen han är så dum och skit.
